For someone who loves experiencing different cultures and history along with nature, then you must visit this place.
Lyndon B. Johnson State Park & Historic Site is a state park located in Johnson City gives you unique experience. You get to walk though the trails passing by colorful wildflowers, cabins and if you can get to the location before 4PM you will get to experience the farming life of people in 1918's which is an interesting experience.
According to their website, you can experience wild flowers though out the summer and we know summers are long in Texas :)
German immigrants built those historic cabins in the park during 1870's.
Things to do:
- For those who are interested in camping and get the thought experience, there are small campsites available
- They also have Olympic-sized swimming pool that is usually open though out the summer.
- A walk though the small trails (those are very simple trails) which are around 1.2 miles.
- Experience historic cabins, farm life & nature.

When you enter the park, the park has a map of points to visit to get most experience and points you are not miss. You can drive though most points but at some places you need to park your car and walk though trail.
